First day of school
August 18, 2008
Today was our first day of school - seems like summer went way too fast! I have added the kids pictures - check to photo album section. Hayley's new teacher is Mrs. Bailey - she's very sweet and Hayley is very excited about this year. Can't believe she's in 2nd grade already. Hunter had his first day of MIDDLE school - hard to imagine that too. He was a little nervous going to school but I told him all he had to worry about today. When I picked him up at 4pm today he said his day was GREAT! He loved it. He said it's much better then elementary school! I wanted to know what his favorite thing was and he said "everything". He couldn't come up with just 1-2 things, he liked it all. He said "I found all my classes and got to all of them on time!" So we ended our day on a successful note. Well, kinda....school has been cancelled for the next 2 days due to the Hurricane FAY. Go figure!

Summer Vacation
July 12, 2008
I can't believe it's July already! I promised myself I would try and keep this updated but I haven't done such a good job. We have had a good summer so far. We just got back from our family vacation to the beach. We had never been to the Gulf Coast of Florida so we decided to try it. It's beautiful! We got some amazing sunset pictures and such a relaxing time. I actually kinda forgot about the computer (if you know me that's HUGE) and even what day it was. When I came home I had to catch back up on everything. You can see our vacation pictures on the Photo Album page. The kids said it was the best vacation ever! They are ready to go back. Dave was even able to relax, forget about work and just enjoy the time! So all in all - it was awesome!

Ok - we are all on Spring Break this week - it's so nice to get to sleep past 7am! We got to see cousins from Michigan and Grandparents before they went back to Michigan. They are NOT wanting to return to anymore snow - hopefully it will be done with that. Hayley was able to get her new glasses and they look so cute! We have had fun and kept busy but tomorrow we are staying home and not doing much! I'm posting pictures on the website, so watch for those soon.

Happy Easter!
April 2, 2008
We had a great Easter weekend.!! It started out when Hayley had an eye dr. appt on Good Friday morning. That night we went to the church choir musical - it was very good. The kids were excited to see Morgan and Aunt Ashley in the performance - they did great! Saturday Dave came to Oviedo to meet us - because he had to work Friday. Mom and I took off and went shopping for my Easter dress and he took the kids to a movie. Sunday we got to go to FBC Oviedo for church and see many friends!!! The service was great. After church we went back to Mom and Dad's house for a YUMMY dinner and the kids hunted for easter eggs! My Grandma was there too and had a fun time watching the kids. Dave and I celebrated our 16th Anniversary that weekend too. The years just seem to fly by. Can't believe all we have accomplished in 16 years! Mom and Dad watched the kids while we were able to enjoy a dinner out all by ourselved! It was a really good weekend being with family, laughing and just remembering what Easter was all about! He...

December
December 10, 2007
We are busy with our decorating, shopping, school parties, etc. What a crazy time of year. Christmas will be here before we know it - we are looking forward to spending time with family and friends from Michigan. I have posted new pictures on the website. We had HIPPIE day at school last week so there is a picture of the kids - they look so cute. We will be spending Christmas with my parents and my grandmother. They are coming up to our house on Christmas Eve. Then we will have Christmas with my side of the family in January when Todd and Ashley's family are back from her parents. I hope to have Christmas cards done and out. It is taking me longer this year then other years. Until later...

Thanksgiving
November 17, 2007
Halloween was fun. Hayley was a black cat and Hunter was a Red Sox player! He even had the wig - he looks different with black hair!!! They got tons of candy and had fun running around with the neighbor kids! Since then, we have had a busy month! We went back to Oviedo for GREAT DAY which is always fun. This year they had a rock climbing thing so Hunter and Hayley decided they wanted to go for a climb. We didn't really think they would do it, but they BOTH made it all the way up. Not all the kids that climbed it made it - so we were excited. The kids got their report cards and they both did GREAT! Hunter made the A/B Honor Roll and Hayley made the A Honor Roll. So they were able to go to their Honor Roll parties which were so much fun! We are now out of school for Thanksgiving and it's nice to have the whole week off! They both had Thanksgiving parties in their classes - that was fun! Our kitty has also learned how to flush the toilet! It's funny to hear it flush and see him...

Halloween
October 21, 2007
Halloween is coming up soon! The kids are excited about going trick-or-treating. Hayley is going to be a black cat and Hunter I think will be crock Hunter - we will see. We used our goft cart last year and they loved that. They usually run from house to house as I follow them down the street on the cart. Then they get to a place where there aren't any homes so they ride to catch their breath. Then they ride home once they have covered it all. We are thinking we might be able to decorate the cart this year! HA School is going well. Grades come out next week. We have Parent/Teacher Conferences to get the report cards. We think Hunter has made A/B Honor Roll again and Hayley we are pretty sure made the A Honor Roll with all 100%! Hunter is doing very well in baseball this fall. He has got to pitch just about every game and then playes several positions like outfield and 1st base. My job is going well - still LOVE it. PTO is busy with the yearbook and cookbook fundraiser. Dave quit Highland the first week of October. He started his...

Labor Day
September 3, 2007
Well, school has started and going well. Hunter and Hayley both have GREAT teachers! Just exactly who I hoped they would get. Hunter's class has a pet hamster named "Peanut". Hunter was able to bring him home for the long weekend! YEA! Our kitten has had fun watching Peanut by going round and round his cage! My work is going great - the first few days my legs hurt SO bad! I'm not used to doing 4 hours of squats - that's what you have to do to be at kindergarten level! But I really like it - I already know most of their names but 125 are a lot of names! In the close to 4 hours I'm there I visit 3 classes a day and do 50 min of lunch duty! Oh yes, that's something for sure! This weekend was a long one for Labor Day and it was a nice time to rest and relax. Next big thing is Hayley's birthday - she will be SEVEN on the 13th! Can't believe it - seems like just yesterday she was a little baby! She will always be "baby girl" in my heart.

Summer
August 5, 2007
Ok - this summer has really gone way to fast! The kids are starting school 2 weeks later than normal, so I really thought it would drag on and on but it has really gone by quickly! We have had a good summer. Hunter went to Kids College for 2 weeks. They both went to VBS at our church and LOVED it. We were able to see our friends from Georgia at the beach one day, that's always fun to catch up with them. We have been able to swim with the neighbors a lot and that's always fun!!! Now here we are in August getting ready for school. Kids go back on the 20th. I have been busy getting my paperwork, etc. done for my part-time job I took at the school. It's kindergarten teachers aid. I am also starting a few new programs at the school with the PTO so I have been spending a lot of time organizing. My cousin, his wife and kids will be visiting us next weekend. They are missionaries in Papua New Guinea and are home (in Michigan) till January. This will be our last time to see them for probably 4 years. ...
